Why do we process personal data?
Personal data is processed in connection with contacting, dealing with, subscribing to newsletters, customer surveys, competitions, service development, reporting, marketing and other activities related to customer care. The contact and location data processed in the register may also be used to target marketing activities and customer communications. Personal data is also processed in connection with the sending of newsletters and when a person participates in events or other marketing measures of Davvi Metsä Oy.
What information does the register contain?
The register may contain the following information about customers:
First and last name
Contact information, such as email address, telephone number and postal address
Organisation and position
Address information of the organisation
Direct marketing permissions and prohibitions
From which data sources is this information collected?
The register is compiled from the controller’s customer information system, publicly available internet sources and any other public sources. As a general rule, the address sources are specified if they are other than the first mentioned.
How is the disclosure of data secured?
The data is stored in a technically secure manner. We do not disclose customers’ personal data to third parties, except as required by Finnish authorities. In competitions organised with our partners, the data of the participants is also available to the partner company, which is explicitly stated in the rules of the competition. Davvi Metsä’s register can only be accessed by the controller and specially designated technical staff. Only the designated persons are entitled to process and maintain the data in the register. The users of the register are bound by confidentiality.
How can i check and edit my registry information?
Data may be deleted at the request of the individual or at the end of the customer relationship. The person in the register has the right to check what information about him or her is in the register. The request must be made in writing to the controller. The person concerned has the right to have any data concerning him/her which has been incorrectly recorded in the register amended.
How is the register protected?
Personal data will be kept confidential. The data network and the hardware of the controller and its possible IT partners on which the register is located are protected by firewalls and other necessary technical measures.
